My name is David Olds, I am currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Hospitality Management and Dietetics at Kansas State University. I plan to graduate in December 2009.

My research interests include: Food Defense against Bioterrorism, Foodservice and Club Management, Food Safety, and Sustainability in Hospitality.

I have enjoyed my experience teaching Principles of Food Production Management, Hospitality Service Systems, and Environmental Issues in Hospitality at Kansas State University.

Food safety is one of my research interests. Here I am conducting experiments using rapid microbiological detection methods on food contact surfaces.
